The program provides qualifying families and senior citizens with food and gifts for the holidays. Action Inc.\, on behalf of its partners\, invites you to participate in the 34th annual Mining City Christmas & Holiday Giving Program.\nHow can you help?\n\nDonate to Action Inc.: The Mining City Christmas & Holiday Giving Program is solely dependent on donations. Action Inc. does not receive public funds for this program and all monies received go directly to helping families and senior citizens in need. Donations are tax deductible and can be mailed to Action Inc. at 25 W. Silver St. or can be made by clicking the donate button on the Action Inc. website at butteassistanceprograms.org\n\n  \n\nDonate Toys to Toys-for-Tots: Toys-for-Tots has marked receptacles throughout the community where new toys can be donated.\n\n  \n\nDonate Food to the Butte Emergency Food Bank!\n\n  \n\nAdopt-A-Family: Businesses\, clubs\, and individuals can adopt families and shop for them using a wish list provided by the family in their application. DESCRIPTION:The Human Resource Council\, District XII ‐ Action Inc. (HRC‐Action Inc.) invites proposals from qualified Certified Public Accounting firms\, licensed in the State of Montana\, to provide Audit Services for the fiscal year ending September 30\, 2017. \nThe scope requires audits of financial statements for HRC‐Action Inc. and a related\, sole purpose corporation\, Continental Gardens Housing Corporation. While both audits cover the same fiscal year\, the completion date for the Continental Garden audit is December 31 and the completion date for the HRC‐Action Inc. audit is March 31. A third related corporation—the Shermont Manor Housing Corporation—is included under the HRC‐Action Inc. single audit. \nUnder the awarded contract\, completion of annual IRS Form 990 for both corporations will be part of the scope of work as will the entry of the financial statement for Continental Gardens Housing Corporation into the related HUD Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC). \nSubmittal Deadline: May 22\, 2017 @ 4:00 P.M. SUMMARY:HRC XII-Action Inc. Board of Directors Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Action Inc. is governed by an eighteen-member Board of Directors with representation from the six-county service area. The Board has a tripartite structure with one-third representing the government sector and one-third representing the community at-large. The other third is comprised of members who are democratically elected representatives of the low-income population. These seats give people with lower incomes a direct voice in shaping the policies and programs of the agency. \nThe Action Inc. Board meets in January\, March\, May\, July\, September and November on the fourth Thursday at 10:00 a.m.  Its Budget/Finance/Audit  Committee meets every month during the year on the fourth Thursday at 9:00 a.m.  All meetings are held at Action Inc.’s headquarters at 25 West Silver Street in Butte\, Montana.

SUMMARY:Head Start Policy Council
DESCRIPTION:The Policy Council is made up of parents of the Head Start students. These parents are elected to the Policy Council by other parents in the program. Each class will have one parent representative and one alternate from their classroom. There are also representatives from the community. \nThe Policy Council: \n\nServes as a link between Head Start and the community.\nHas the opportunity to initiate suggestions and ideas fro program improvements.\nPlans\, coordinates and organizes activities for parents.\nRecruits volunteer services from parents and community.\nReviews and votes on all funding applications and amendments.\n\nAll Parents may attend Policy Council meetings. Only elected representatives may vote. \nMeetings are held the third Thursday of every month at 4:15 pm – Head Start 1000 S. Arizona St.

A grid will be outlined at Emma Park with 400 numbers. A flock of ducks will be released onto the grid and the winner is the first square to get pooped on!
