Action Inc. is governed by an eighteen-member Board of Directors with representation from the six-county service area. The Board has a tripartite structure with one-third representing the government sector and one-third representing the community at-large. The other third is comprised of members who are democratically elected representatives of the low-income population. These seats give people with lower incomes a direct voice in shaping the policies and programs of the agency.

The Action Inc. Board meets in January, March, May, July, September and November on the fourth Thursday at 10:00 a.m.  Its Budget/Finance/Audit  Committee meets every month during the year on the fourth Thursday at 9:00 a.m.  All meetings are held at Action Inc.’s headquarters at 25 West Silver Street in Butte, Montana.
