Food Resources Available During COVID-19 Situation

In order to ensure the most vulnerable populations in Butte-Silver Bow County have access to food during the public health threat posed by the COVID-19 virus , a group of agencies met by phone on Thursday to collaborate on ensuring citizens with inadequate incomes, particularly the homeless, elderly, and children, have food. Representatives from Action Inc., the Butte School District, the Butte Emergency Food Bank, the Butte Pantry Popup, the Butte Minister’s Association, the Butte Rescue Mission, the Butte-Silver Bow Health Department, and CCCS, Inc. worked on ways to collaborate in order to serve all those in need while not wasting resources through duplication of effort.

According to Margie Seccomb, CEO of Action Inc., ”there is such compassion among the agencies to take care of our vulnerable citizens. The collaborative approach makes us more impactful and allows us to target our resources to most needed areas.”  The group has created a list of food options for those in need and can be found by Clicking Here.
